Eurovision returns to Austria this year for its landmark 70th anniversary edition — and Switzerland remains at the heart of Eurovision history. Switzerland won the very first contest in 1956 and later claimed victory with Céline Dion in 1988 and Nemo in 2024.
This year, Switzerland is represented by Veronica Fusaro with her song “Alice,” a contemporary alternative-pop entry blending rock influences with a powerful social message. Following the release of her second album, Looking for Connection (2025), Fusaro brings a bold and emotionally charged performance addressing themes of power, control, and gender-based violence. Switzerland will compete in the second semi-final on May 14.
